MRI and PET images for an individual with regional PET hypometabolism. Regional hypometabolism was evident in this patient, with gradual decline in activity evident within the boxed area when compared to adjacent cortex. MRI was initially negative, and a subtle BOSD was detected only upon the second review of MRI with co-registered PET in this patient (arrows shown on FLAIR in bottom left image). This patient was seizure free following focal resection of the BOSD
