Graphical representation of PET/CT and MRI post-processing and correlation analyses. 51 patients with normal myocardial perfusion imaging and 12 patients with cardiac small-vessel disease were used for evaluating potential interrelation between heart and brain SVD. Significant interrelations between cardiac and cerebral SVD markers were found, especially regarding deep gray-matter alterations, which supports the hypothesis of SVD as a systemic disease.
